Advanced preclinical imaging systems and preclinical CRO services for quantitative assessment and validation of novel radiolabelled compounds
BIOEMTECH is located in Athens, Greece. BIOEMTECH’s mission is to accelerate preclinical research of promising drugs, towards clinical translation, through precisely targeted services and products. BIOEMTECH leverages its own boutique laboratories to drive innovation and ensure quality, for evaluating new compounds in all stages of preclinical testing, GLP toxicology and alpha emitters therapy schemes. It has developed the eyesTM desktop cameras for real-time in vivo imaging of SPECT and PET radionuclides. The eyesTM offer unmatched excellence in the challenging in vivo imaging of alpha emitters (212Pb & 225Ac) for oncological models, in short scanning times and clinically relevant doses. Both in BIOEMTECH’s services and products, fast screening applications are a core company value towards accelerating drug development.
BIOEMTECH Laboratories provide specialised services to pharmaceutical companies and academic/research institutions. Specifically, it provides a unique infrastructure and platform for preclinical studies for mice and rats in a GLP environment, starting from a cell level and going up to the in vivo
level – all in just one lab, door-by-door. BIOEMTECH’s Radiochemistry laboratory is a licensed facility, to import and handle a wide range of radionuclides and has long established collaboration with the top radionuclide providers worldwide. BIOEMTECH Animal Facility is a registered user establishment (EL25 BIOexp045) for mice and rats, according to national legislation (PD 56/2013) which adopts European Directive 63/2010/EU. The Animal Facility includes the Mice room, the Rats room, the Procedures room and closely collaborates with the Imaging Laboratory. Workflows are performed under BSL2 requirements, and animal use is performed under ABSL1+ requirements.
